Language Placement

Students with prior knowledge of a Slavic language, either from home or previous study, must take a placement test before enrolling in a course.  Incoming new students needing placement in Polish or Russian should take the online test before July 31st.  See: early September, incoming students taking these tests will be emailed to arrange for a follow-up oral interview. Students interested in placement tests in other Slavic languages (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Bulgarian, or Macedonian) should contact Professor Elisabeth Elliott to arrange these.  Students should not place themselves into a language class without permission from Slavic faculty.
