Ryan Serrano

Ryan graduated from Princeton University in 2012 with a A.B. in Slavic Languages and Literatures and came to study at Northwestern in 2013. In 2016 he successfully defended his master's thesis on Valentin Rasputin's Farewell to Matyora and Venedikt Erofeev's Moscow-Petushki. His research interests include early 20th-century Russian and Czech theater, particularly theatrical adaptations, late-Soviet literature, Andrei Bely, and Sigizmund Krzhizhanovsky.
