The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures believes that studying abroad, be it for a summer, a quarter, or a full year, can be a wonderful way to supplement what is offered on campus. For students of language, it is clear that there is no substitute for the kind of 100% immersion in another culture that can only be achieved by living in the country. Even for more casual students of Slavic literature, culture and society, there is much to be gained by taking some courses in a foreign land.

Study abroad programs take students to Russia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, and Poland. The programs in the Czech Republic and Croatia take place in the summer and have been specially designed by our department.
